"In the same hospital where biggie smalls died/doctor said I had blood clots but I ain't jamaican man/story on MTV and I ain't trying to make the band" - Kanye West, Through the Wire (College Dropout)
A 26 mile training run. Up at 4 AM. In Griffith Park in the dark at 6. Starting Mile 1 at 8 AM. Finishing mile 26 on a busted foot tendon at 3:30pm. Rocking the shakes, the numbness in the extremities, the lack of motor control in my legs, the silly post run grin, the grimace with every step, the thirst, the hunger, the desperation, the euphoria.
And the motherfucking medal.
Training is over. 29 days to the AIDS Marathon in Honolulu. I'm ready to run my face off.
What did you do on Saturday?

Other random notes: I need to see Revolutions again but the quick and dirty is I really enjoyed it. Totally satisfying in the Sci-Fi sense and epic story sense if not entirely satisfying as a film. I'm not sure how much people get about the significance of the casting of the film and how unique this band of heroes really is for a main-stream high budget highly successful film. I'm not going to even go into the fact that Keanu is brown people too. I'm just going to note that you can't spell negro without N-E-O. Karen Sisco is on hiatus until March. I guess I should just be happy ABC didn't cancel it. Being a moderator of a message board is the worst job on the internet. It really is. It makes me hate people so much. Trio is the best channel on television. If you don't get it, you are missing out. Last week's Uncensored Comedy Week was just brilliant. Watching just 15 minutes of Check and Double-Check was ridiculously eye-opening about what was going on with Amos 'N Andy. I don't think I could sit through a full film without wanting to hurt someone. I love the work that George does at negrophile.com. It makes me want to start nigga-file.com. I don't think people would get it.
