"Love is on the way, all I got ta say, is it won't let go." - Erykah Badu, I Want You [buy the album]
I took a week off but now it's back to lablogs' Los Angeles Insight.
1. When you do fire up the grill, what do you put on it?
Boneless chicken breasts, hot links, and maybe a nice shrimp and fish skewer with some of my favorite veggies.2. Where do you buy your goods (any secret meat markets)?
The Ranch 99 stores have a really nice selection of seafoods. If I'm feeling like breaking the bank, I'll visit Whole Foods for the organic and free range meats and fancy sausages. My parents like to get meated up at Gelson's I think.3. Besides your house, where do you/would you BBQ around your area?
I don't bbq at my house because I live in an apartment. BBQs have a tendency to go down in my parent's backyard.4. Gas or charcoal?
Charcoal all the way, baby!5. What is your favorite drink to accompany the grill?
An arnold palmer if I'm practicing my sobriety. a nice fruity or summery drink if not. So maybe a melon or peach margarita or a mojito. Mmmm...mojitos.6. When you bring a side dish, what is it?
Generally something I want to eat that Angelenos have given up on like good home made mac and cheese or, you know, bread. Gimme some carbs ya bastards.7. If the host burrns the main dish, where do you go out to eat instead?
Hogly Wogly's Tyler Texas BBQ is a must. The bread there is divine and they know what I mean when I say I want something spicy.8. Post BBQ games: dominoes, croquet, bocci or badminton?
What? No poker? No Bid Whist? No 7 minutes in heaven? The last bbq I was at the game was horseshoes. My brain couldn't wrap itself around the tossing metal shoes at a spike in the ground.
