"Sitting here wondering 'bout this thing." - D'nell, This Thing
I don't need to explain this anymore do I? Out of 614 songs on my iPod Mini (about 200 more songs than normal for the long time away from my iTunes), here's the
- Rolling Through the Hood - Kelis
- Somersault - Zero 7
- Books of Flags - Q and not U
- Take Me Out (Daft Punk Remix) - Franz Ferdinand
- Venus as a Boy - Björk
- Verbal Clap - De La Soul
- Pagan Poetry - Björk
- Violently Happy - Björk
- Let's Get Lost - Tina Dico
- Get 'em High (featuring Common and Talib Kweli) - Kanye West
There are 33 Björk tracks on my iPod but 3 in the 10 and 2 back to back seems excessive.
sxsw:
I'm taking lots of pictures.
Being a panelist has it's priviledges. George and I jumped to the front of the very long registration lines.
Being platinum has it's priviledges. Party invites up the ying-yang.
Having lunch with Mr. Kelly has it's priviledges. Not only did I get buzzed on a margarita at the Iron Cactus and have an involved and interesting discussion about blogs, blackness, and other such things, George treated. I hope to return the favor soon.
Right now I'm going through the schedules and such and figuring out what I'm going to get myself into. Later it's Break Bread with Brad where I will get to meet my publisher and the editor of Laist's new sister site, Austinist.com and then I think I'll head to the film festival opening night party.
And then I will be too drunk to walk. Hopefully the 'dillo will still be running.
